2. Overview

This website uses no cookies and no tracking or analytics tools. No user profiles are created and no data is shared with advertising networks.

Personal data is only processed as described below for technical reasons.

3. Hosting (Cloudflare Pages)

This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When you visit the site, the following data is technically transmitted to Cloudflare's servers and stored in server logs for a limited time:

• IP address of the requesting device
• Date and time of access
• Requested URL
• Browser type and operating system (User Agent)

This processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in operating the website securely and reliably). Cloudflare acts as a data processor under Art. 28 GDPR.

4. Processing of User Inputs (Google Gemini API)

When you use the PAIRL Playground, text you enter is transmitted to the Google Gemini API (Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) for processing.

Important: Please do not enter personal, sensitive, or confidential information into the input field.

This transmission is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract / pre-contractual measures) and your implied consent through active use of the feature. Google acts as a data processor.

5. Local Storage

This website does not store any data in your browser's localStorage. Playground unlocks are tied to a signed cookie (section 5a) — not to anything on your device.

You can remove the cookie at any time via your browser's site data settings.

5a. Email Address for Playground Unlocks

What we collect. Email address, the time of your request, the time you click the confirmation link (consent proof), the country derived from your connection (no IP address stored), and the number of playground runs you have used.

Purpose. Confirming your address via a double opt-in link, unlocking 5 playground runs, and contacting you about PAIRL — including a short savings estimate for your traffic.

Legal basis. Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (your consent, given by ticking the checkbox and clicking the confirmation email). You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future — write to hello(at)wmnn.eu or use the unsubscribe link in any of our emails. Data is deleted upon withdrawal.

Storage. The data above is stored in our Cloudflare D1 database in Western Europe (Cloudflare as processor under Art. 28 GDPR; see section 3). For sending the confirmation email and, after confirmation, managing the contact we use Brevo (Sendinblue GmbH, Köpenicker Straße 126, 10179 Berlin, Germany) as processor under Art. 28 GDPR. Cookie. After confirmation we set a technically necessary cookie (pg_session, 30 days) holding a signed reference to your confirmed address so the playground recognizes you. Legal basis: § 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG. This cookie is not used for tracking.

6. No Further Third-Party Services

Apart from the services named above, no third-party services are integrated. In particular, no analytics tools (such as Google Analytics or Matomo), advertising services, or social media plugins are used.

7. Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:

• Access (Art. 15 GDPR): You may request information about the data stored about you.
• Rectification (Art. 16 GDPR): You may request correction of inaccurate data.
• Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR): You may request deletion of your data, provided no legal retention obligations apply.
• Restriction (Art. 18 GDPR): You may request restriction of processing.
• Objection (Art. 21 GDPR): You may object to processing based on legitimate interests.
• Complaint (Art. 77 GDPR): You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, e.g. the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (BayLDA).
